We have an immediate opening for an effective, efficient, and hard working candidate who can succeed in a fast paced environment as a Purchasing Manager. This is a challenging, hands-on role where you will be responsible for the timely purchase of parts and insuring that proper Company procedures are met. Also, you'll be responsible for investigating best price and delivery schedules from various vendors. This position reports directly to our Production Manager. Experience working in an electronic manufacturing environment or with electronic products or components is a plus, as is knowledge of the SAP material management system.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Purchase various parts, equipment and supplies • Develop and maintain optimal professional working relationships with domestic and foreign vendors • Secure best price, quality and delivery schedules • Track delivery schedules • Process returns on reclaimed items • Consolidate SAP-MRP with manual requisitions and create/maintain stock purchasing plans • Organize and supervise cycle counts and adjust physical stock with inventory counts. • Work within a team to perform Inventory value control and financial resource plan • Communicate and interact effectively with all company personnel
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills, including phone personality, to represent our company with domestic and foreign vendors. You should have a certain technical adeptness to identify material for their correct technical revisions and specifications. Please be a punctual and energetic hard worker with ability to adapt to a fast pace work environment. An educational background with a Bachelors Degree and exposure to SAP financial system (Modules MM and Purchasing) are strongly preferred. Ideally, we're looking for a candidate with 3-5 years of purchasing management experience in a manufacturing company.
